The banning of the carriage of detectors (that can tell if a camera is live)
wording is in the new road safety bill. It has not been before Parliament
yet.

The media over the last week or so. Dont want GPS ones banned, just the ones
that detect if RADAR is present in a camera or not.

The have NEVER been banned cos they are a radar detecter per sey, only cos
they were said to intefere with a Radio signal. Was proved in the court case
that they didnt interfere with said radio signal and so legal to use. Radio
and telecomunications Act or something like that.
