day by day my steering has been getting worse, but just went for a drive and now it feels ridiculously dodgey. It feels loose, and when going at speed its as if the car keeps steering itself left and right which i constantly have to correct. Its got to the point where i don't think i should drive it in its current state.

Any ideas what might be causing this? PAS levels appear fine, as do tyre pressures.... hmmmmmmmm?

loose drop arm?
fooked swivels?
fooked ball joints?
Loose wheel

or have you been watching to many american movies and just keep turning the wheel left and right

Could be tracking rod is loose. U checked all the rods ends as one of them may be loose allowing unwanted movement?

add wheel bearings to the list.

steering damper? I would go with drop arm ball joint.

also check your rear radius arm for any movement[use alever] at axle end especially [ try gripping rear wheel & turning it back & forth against the brake with amate watching for any movement....on my 110 one bolt not tight lead to horrendous on/off power steering swing

It might be that the steering box backlash adjuster has come loose, thereby getting worse and worse. Otherwise I think it would have to be the drop arm either loose or the ball joint fooked.
It depends how long it has taken to get worse, days or several weeks. Days has got to be a loose bolt, weeks is more liukely a failing component.
Get someone to waggle the steering wheel and climb under and look for the loose link. None of the joints / linkages should have any slack movement at all.

wow i have only just bought my 90 2 days ago and thought it was normal for me to keep adjusting the steering lol i'll go check out the steerign components lol s)

Be careful with the backlash adjuster - you can damage your steering box if you don't do it properly - to be honest it should be set at the factory or rebuilders and should not need touched that is why they put a dab of seal paint on it.

Get in amongst all the steering components and check the drop arm, check it is tight, and has NO play, then check the ball joint, it should not move from side to side, rather is should only swivel on the ball, if it can be rocked it's fooked, same for the drag link ball joint. Then check the tie rod ball joints too.
