Hi guys, I've recently fitted a Southdown snorkel to my 300tdi disco, had to modify it slightly as I have a 2nd battery where the original air intake is, so made a new hole through the innerwing and into airbox. I now want to fit my extended breathers. I don't really want a pipe running up the side of my snorkel. Is it possible to connect the breather pipe to the airbox. Or is this not a good idea because it's under vacuum?
 
Can I ask where you got your snorkel from? I'm after a Southdown for mine but did not see any at the LRO show at the weekend and Ebay is coming up blank.

This is a silly stupid question:mad::mad: Did you do a google for southdown snorkel if you did you would not ask this dumb arse question. if you can do a e-bay you can do a google:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Now F@@k off and look

If your worred about that just put it through the air box run it up inside your snorkel, to the top in and pop the end out the grill, or if your realy anal you could put a push fit in the top of the snorkel so it exits via the top and will not be seen.

Simple problem - simple answer

Thanks tosser (Thats English for ****er by the way... ;))

I did not realise it was a brand I thought it was the name of a style to describe the snorkels that just have the tube coming out of the corner of the wing rather than the ugly plastic part that runs outside the wing.

My first Snorkel so i apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Dear Brain: I did not know it was a brand either:D All I did was type into google your words as you wrote, and low and behold there it was.It is so simple if the peeps would TRY to find stuff first ok, the technical stuff ask away it is a little harder to find and the knowledge on here is priceless.:D:D

It is sometimes people won't even help themselves and want others to make life easy for them.

If peeps did that for themselves then the forum would be a very boring place, asking a question is a form of socialising and some johnny no mates peeps like me need the company.:)

I know, I need it also:eek::eek: but I like a little more technical stuff:p It is more stimulating:eek::eek: and exciting, and us old farts need stimulating once in awhile :eek::eek::D
 
Unfortunately I am of the age where computers are not easy for me to understand. When I do get on the internet its only 3 sites I go onto, Landyzone, Ebay and Paypal. I do sometimes Google but find it a pain and rarely find what I need so tend not to consider it.

I thought a simple question asking where someone brought something i've been looking for would get a short, polite, simple answer. I did not expect to get shot down in flames.

No problem I got thick skin,from the whip scares:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hell I'm 61 and a American and that makes me double challenged according to British standards:rolleyes::rolleyes:

With google simple questions work best ie: td4 freelander landrover hard start and the info is just unbelievable.

Very unbelievable, I didn't even know landrover made a TD4 disco!

And to answer your question in a civilised manner Brian. I bought the wing moulding, the top and the flexi off eBay, I had the stainless tube lying around and I fabricated the rest to suit my vehicle.
