Hi guys!
Took my Landy for his first outing over Salisbury plain yesterday - my first time offroading as a driver so was pretty good fun! Became aware of a knocking at the back over the really bumpy terrain, and when I got underneath once I got home it looks like the exhaust is loose at the back and knocking against other parts. Not sure whether it may have come loose from a bracket or something...I'm not mechanically minded so it's all a bit hazy for me! Now I don't have the means myself to begin to try to sort it out - unfortunately I'm going to have to do the girlie thing and find a 'man who can' whenever I get issues - but what I want to know is whether it is something I need to get dealt with soon (ie. is it likely to cause other problems) or whether it's just a case of putting up with the noise until I can afford to get it fixed.
Second question - my Landy was sold without a spare wheel, although the rear door has all the holes where a bracket was once in place. I have heard that carrying a spare on the back causes the hinges of the door to drop, and that this is most likely why it was taken off - would that be the case? I'm keen to get a spare put on - have a mate who is trying to acquire one for me - and I'd rather it go on the back door as it does look rather scrappy with gurt big 'oles in it at the moment! Also - does anyone know where I can get hold of the bracket for it to be mounted on the back door?
Many thanks in advance
