The backbox made a bid for freedom this morning so just weighting up my options.
It's got a straight through middle section.
- put a new one back on
- side exit jobie.
- smoke stack.

Hmmm.

I ran mine once without any boxes - sounded like a Spitfire at full chat!! Too loud!!

How about a Cherry Bomb centre box and a side exit?

Well the sports exhaust arrived today £43.00 to the door from paddock top service looking forward to the sound.

I've got a de-cat down pipe, Janspeed centre box and straight through side exit.
Sounds just right. Not OTT.

I have a decat down pipe, no mid box and a sports rear box on a 300 tdi sounds beefy but acceptable, the special tracks on the other hand make so much noise you can't hear the exhaust once you are moving faster than 15 kmh

If you go a side exit route, don't use the flexi tubing that I used, its crap!

May make the job easier to begin with but mine kept blowing through.

Have now taken it off and cut various angled sections out and welded them up to get the side exit - and this time at least I know it will last

That's good to know as I was about to go down the flexi route when I ditch the back box and put the middle box back in.
