Hi I have an ex-mod defender 90 ffr. Due for mot on Friday. Anyway my question is the 24 volts alternator connected to system or seperate completely. I noticed tonight battery light stayed on when engine running checked the altimeter on 12v battery. No input from 12 volts alternator. I have no experience on 12/24 volts etc
 
Doing some research. It appears 24 volts alternator is complete seperate from anything. It just feed the radio batteries in the back. Looks like I have knackered 12 volt alternator. I will check the it again. It appear I can completely remove the 24 volts etc
