I think anyone who buys one of these over the cheaper, but almost mechanically identical Freelander, must be even dafter and gayer than the people who bought the actual Freelander. the only good thing about them is that hairdressers and footballers wives will buy them by the 1000's. So it means Land Rover have more money to spend developing their proper 4x4's.

The car park doesn't count as off road.
I was lucky enought to have a test ride in the one of the 1st 300 prototypes and my only gripe, really was that the electric seats where slowlest thing i have ever seen i could have died and my body turned to dust by the time you could havemoved them foward to let some one in the back, was only a 3 door model.
But apart from that was a nice enough car, I wont be buying one way out of my price range.

I have driven and worked on all 3 of the Evoque levels(dynamic,pure ect) and must say they are a class of there own.
Build quality is good.
Gadgets and systems are a joy(split media screen,park assist)
Driving the car makes you smile constantly.
Only gripp is the size of the door mirrors.
Land rover have to move with consumer demand and with the compertition and this car is and will continue to be a winner.I won't complain as it pays my mortgage.
I work on all Land rover models and a great lover of the 90 and P38 but can only afford a Freelander
