Hi,
Has anyone tried getting cables from engine bay to drivers foot well?

There is a grommet just like the one on the passenger side bit I think I nearly broke my arm trying to cut the nipple off ,
There just isn't enough space due to the engine loom

Any way of doing it with our injury?

Hmm! That could work! Hope I don't damage any other cables,

I was also thinking maybe a pipe with sharpened edge that you can push through grommet then feed wires through , then remove pipe after

I put a cable through from behind the coolant bottle. Used an existing grommet and pushed a single core of cable through first and then pulled my cable through. Grommet was already in use but I managed it ok. I managed to get to the single core by looking up above the foot brake behind the dash.

if i remember correctly when running wires to fit a switch for my fbh i pulled the grommet out cut the hole and lubed it up so went back in no problem, but i cant remember if it was from the inside or outside.

I done mine similar to this, but I used a thin TIG welding rod. It came through the grommet no problem.

I've been trying with a coat hanger but when I pull it threw the cables pull off!

Will give it another go tonight!

Hope to post pictures of everything installed soon!

What about using the bonnet release cable hole. Somebody here suggested this to another member a while ago and I think it was successful.

He said to follow the cable from the back of the leaver to locate the gromit.

Hmm that might be an idea, ill have to see how big it is because I have 3 cables to go through!

Thanks for the ideas!

That's me. I thort this thread was asking the same thing, sorry if it's not. If your not asking about the bonnet release, that's where I would try.

If your pulling your cables off, try using insulating tape and tapering them from about 3-4inches from the end to about 1inch from the end, wrap the tape as tight as you can get it.

I did it! Thanks! Took a few attempts!
I managed to go through the main grommet but not where the nipple is, I found a softer part,

It really is a lot easier on the passenger side!

Thank for all the help!
Just need to bolt on the relays then mount the spotlights !!!!
