Hi today drove 15 miles to town engine temp once warm normal
driving around town temp slowly dropped to barely showing .
have recently changed rad & thermostat all seemed ok .so am confused as to
why the temp dropped last time that happened it bas - 10 and my works van
went cool . any ideas or am i panicking without cause

Because its bloody freezing out maybe?

Mine cools down on tick over and warms up when running. Takes a while to cool dowthough mind you. I ran it without the viscous unit the other week and it was fine.

Yeh i thought about removing the fan for winter .
i wonder if the new rad which is alumium is losing heat quicker / more effiently
