anyone go any tips or short cuts to removing the engine of 300tdi auto or should i do aas it says in haynes manual i do know they tend to go round the houses removing engines

Undo everything that stops it coming out and away you go, if the engine can come out without something being removed then leave it, I seem to remember one of the manuals says take the front prop off, why I do not know, waste of time undoing 8 bolts out if you ask me.

take the body shell off first (less than 10 bolts) it makes taking the engine out a doddle ........ assuming the disco is RIP
