Hey guys. I'm thinking that in the year I might treat my old 2a diesel to a rebuild. Now not having the time. Knowledge or proper tools. I was thinking a professional job. Iv seen places that will refurb a block and head and with a partial rebuild of the heavy parts but nothing in the way of full rebuild. Can anybody recommend someone who does this? I'm happy to supply my unit straight away instead of swapping if it's cheaper. I just don't want to go to jack the lad at the local garage who will over charge and won't have experience with an older engine

I had my 300tdi rebuilt at MJA automotive in bromsgrove and couldn't fault them, small family run business, excellent service and 12 months guarantee. Only 2000 miles ago but engine is running very well. Had a small issue with a second hand head I'd supplied to them for the rebuild and they took the vehicle back complete and swapped the head over foc..

OK just thought I'd say. Good shout. I have a very pretty engine. Might have cost 400 more than the quote but it's still proved cheaper than others
