Hiya all.

Just to update you all on whats happening with my 300 tdi after I asked for help yesterday.
This morning, the engine expired !!!
Lots of knocking, some smoke but not alot and oil being pumped out from the rocker cover seal under pressure !!! Engine runs, just about, but it is very sick. However, if you pull the dipstick out, there is no heavy breathing, no pressurising of coolant, no oil in water etc.
I am hopeing it is just a head fault.
Any comments on this from anyone ?????????????

you sure ya timing aint gone tits up and you've bent a rod or 4

I dont know yet, it got towed to a garage by the AA. They are doing it through the insurance I have with them.
I suppose it is possible the timing has slipped come to think about it.
I will keep you all posted on the outcome of the autopsy !!
