200 and 300 tdi engine are 2.5 tdi's buddy.
There are a few differences between the 200 and 300tdi lumps.
Some say the 300 is easier to work on than the 200tdi but I find both pretty simple. Ive done the cam belt on both of mine and its quicker on the 300 to do the auxiliary belt as it has a self tensioner.

I find the 300tdi very easy to work on, the Defender 300 is easier to work on then the Discovery 300 as access is better
