Hi Guys

Can someone tell me how much my 5 door 1999 (T) 2.0 xedi with 67k? on the clock is worth?
Good condition generally but the engine died on wednesday when I was on the way to work. Trinity landrover have quoted me £4500 for a replacement motor and turbo, and £2500 reconditioned :(.

I just wondered if anybody would buy it as it is.... maybe for parts.

any suggestions?

if you want to keep her, see if you can find a rover 420 disesel with a not bad lump in it...its the same lump bar the landy badges. E-bay beckons, around £2-300'l get you a wrecker. Failing that, try this lot: ENGINES/ALLOYS All you need then is a non franchise garage to fit it for you. You should be able to get all in & fitted for a grand easily, I was given a rough quote of £650 fitted about 6 months ago, should it be needed.

that is common practice with Hippoo lumps - spesh the 1.8's and KV6's - coz they dont wanna give a warranty.
 
get another quote, get it running and then sell it if your not happy, 67K is nothing to this engine so it may not be too bad. Is it likely that the engine AND turbo go at the same time?
