Had a problem with drivers window, regulator got jammed due to glass getting jammed half way down....
Tried glass up and down without regulator and very stiff half way down..have to really pull it up hard............

Checked channel for free movement with wooden ruler same width as glass...no restrictions...rubber a bit torn halfway down but doesn't restrict the ruler so am I right in saying it should be ok??

doesn't seem to be any swelling inside the metal channel from rust??

its usually just regulator fault ,they are quite weak

the glass is very very hard to pull up and down though, my father in law couldn't even lift it!
the glass on it's own shouldn't be stiff should it?

i have a similar prob on mine, at first i thought it was the channel but it turns out one of the scissor arms has somehow manage to bend and split. no idea how its been done, possible break in i think, because the scissor is bent its trying to lift the glass at a slight angle so its catching on the channel

my regulator/mechanism goes up and down fine..........

the glass itself without the regulator is stiff to move up and down, I don't know if the channel being worn could cause this?
