Normal, you just re-synced the FOB.Had that feeling to, but, worth a try
went out again got into the bas...d and pressed the lock button inserted the key and tried to start , pressed the unlock button and she suddenly woke up.
strange , or just Land roverish???
Is it as simple as it sounds Mozz???
a "universal eka" ?????
:welcome2:well having re-synced approx. 260 p38s over the phone, the code HAS worked on a fair percentage of those who didn't have their E.K.A, code as im sure many of my "clients and friends " on landyzone will verify .. I know all the research and landrover official paperwork says what wammy says i.e. NAS ONLYbut there you go "don't always believe what l/r say "
I don't know why ive been successful but hey ho if it works all the better !!!!!!! regards MOZZ

I was under the impression that it wasn't possible to read the EKA on a locked BECM? At least that's what it says on the Nanocom's manual...
The Lynx shows you the current EKA code. I gave AP90 his ECU and EKA codes when looking at his car.
Only on an unlocked BECM not on a locked one.

First time I disconnected battery on the previous 95 4.6 HSE it wouldn't accept EKA but 1515 worked first time, was surprised as I found it on another site and thought it was for NAS only, one never knows with these gRRs![]()
