Hi I have just fitted a EGR blanking plate and disconnect all pipes to it should the flap valve in the EGR stay open if not connected,or is it best to remove it all together

Remove it all together.
A full EGR removal kit would include an extension tube for the inlet manifold.

full kit and see how dirty the intercooler hose is! clean MAP sensor, usually very dirty if EGR was

Also a good idea to replace hoses with silicone if the ones on there have been on for a while, as standard hoses tend to de-laminate internally with age and cause a flow restriction.

Be aware that on some hose kits, the one that goes into the turbo may need shortening. This is the case on kits from both Paddock and Derby Performance Hose. DPH do some rather nice wide stainless hose clips.
