now that I have got it back from abs light problems thinking of blanking egr valve, question is does it realy work ,i could do this myself

does it really work? ..
yes .. in that the motor breathes better .. and there's no hot exhaust gas entering the manifold
to mix with what oil gets into the system from the turbo and create a baked on mess inside the
egr valve and intake manifold .. and block up the map sensor as well

d.i.y. job ?
yes it's right easy to fit a delete unit .. 4 small bolts and the clip that goes over the exhaust feed
the egr delete unit for the td4 must be the type with 'disc-on-stalk' attached
that's the bit that blocks the exhaust feed ..
