Hi i am going to clean my EGR VALVE will i need a new seal or will i get away with the old one Also can i use white spirit to clean it thanx i j

i used the old one - was in great condition, just needed a little clean

Apparently you can re-use but would be down to the condition of it of course. White spirit and bottle brush worked for me better than anything else I had to hand. I recommend some rubber gloves as a good idea!

Did the deed on sat as advised the seal was ok what a dirty job, never been touched in 5 years it was pitted worth doing though thanx again i j

I did mine sat - this is 2 1/2 yrs junk - and def wear gloves i'm still cleaning my hands :doh:

White spirit is your friend!

But rinse it off asap
