I am having the EGR removed this week.
Is this regarded by the insurance company as a "modification" ?? Do I need to tell them ?

Yes the Association of British Insurers advise that ANY change from the factory specification of the vehicle is a notifiable item, unless your insurance company specifically advise otherwise, this includes dealer fitted options and non-performance enhancing upgrades and mods.
