I see a lot of comments about blocking off EGR to increase power. What does EGR do (exhaust gas recirculation?). Does it recirculate some exhaust gas to improve fuel burn or to reduce emissions or what and what sort of power increase can be expected from rekoving it anyway, for an otherwise standard TD5?
do yu think yu would be able to do a search? I think yu mite find that fruitful.

Yes its a very stupid thing and its just there to meet the emissions requirements and how it does that I dont know.
It does put smoke exhaust back into the intake. I want to remove it cuz I recently cleaned my intercooler and intake manifold and I dont want to get it clogged up with all that gunk again!!
