You have to remember that on an FL1 you can see the EGR so can a MOT tester, therefore do not be surprised if it fails the MOT that is unless you change it out for the original EGR on the date of the MOT.
EGR can be clearly seen on the right any decent MOT tester should be able to spot an EGR bypass easy
1
As opposed to the R40 where it is covered by the engine cover.
2
Only once the engine cover is off can you really see the EGR.
3
It is just as easy to clean the EGR and blank the solenoid hose going to the EGR you get the same effect as a delete, also there is no point in adding a EGR bypass if you do not clean out the manifold, always remove the MAP sensor before doing so, and wipe that clean too.

6
You could always gut the original EGR that way no way in the world would it be noticeable to any MOT tester.

I/we change the EGR out regular at our R40 meets for members along with a cleaned out manifold & MAP sensor, some have the EGR gutted other plumb for clean EGR with the hose to the solenoid blocked off.

If you are determined to add an EGR delete then these are as good as any out there, but not as good as an original gutted or cleaned out properly.
