2. Take Pipe of Fuel Filter
3. You're still a prat
4. find the fuel pump relay
5. Bridge the contacts to run in tank fuel pump
6. You a major prat
7. Drain tank using pump
8. Discard fuel in appropriate manor, you prat
9. Check In Tank Pump Seals (Not sure if you need to as I don't know the effect petty has on the diesel pump
10. Flush with Diesel
11. You total utter prat
12. If you drove the vehicle with petrol in it any distance, then you are not only a prat but a total plonker to boot

had quarter of a tank, put £20 in- 14 litres, then ****king ****e garages with old pumps 
drove it about half a mile without fault, pulled in to park up, then it cut out as i went to straighten up, then cut out as i let clutch off, i thought wtf is wrong here .....and realised, so its just entered the fuel system by the look of it
is it a case of drain tank, fill up,change?/prime fuel filter with diesel, then start ?
just need to know best way to drain the tank really, at home myself

thanks mate, where is the fuel pump relay ? and how do i bridge that ?
is there no easier way to manualy drain/syphon it out ?

Park it in the Hood with petrol flap open and cap off with a plastic pipe sticking out of it and return a couple of hours later and then someone else might have the problem of petrol in a diesel.
That would be a good idea but, there is an anti-syphoning device fitted.
Also for the "old classictube and spit method" you need to blow first to make sure your not sucking fumes up, great fun if you do end up with a throat full of fumes LOL.
