Hi and :welcome2:

I trust this is the EASUnlock Suite you are using...

It has been known for the drivers to be an issue esp. with Win7.

Are you getting the Green Good Comms button??

If not, you will need to adjust the comms settings until you do....

Datatek is very clued up on the EASUnlock Suite, although he prefers the Serial lead version, but he may still be able to shed light on some issues for you....

This is from my experience on WinXP: firstly, you need a 'good idle' - green light - before you try to reset any codes.

Secondly, wait for the changes to take effect - the software does get busy and doesn't communicate that very well (pretty much my only negative observation on the software).

The most likely cause of EAS issues on my RR was a poor vehicle battery. I have a sneaking suspicion that a poor battery may cause the errors to come back almost immediately, leading to the obvious conclusion that the faults were not cleared.

Thats what its called not as I wrote Good Comms....Cheers Jerry.

thanks fellas...
no i cant get a good idle/green light....it just flashes on/off very quick tried adjustin all the sliders on the software in every direction....still no joy...
the vehicle battery is 2 months old.....so i'm guessing thats in good condition ?
might try another lead with the serial conection and the wifes slap top with win Xp
see if thats any better ???

You should get better results with XP....

Win7 is tempermental as there are so many different drivers and it is a minefield to get the right ones.

Let us know how you get on....

even in win xp you need to make sure its using the correct com port. read the instructions carefully. Also if your using a usb to serial connector try updating/ checking you have the correct drivers.

If your USB to OBD cable uses a Prolific USB to RS232 bridge IC, you may have trouble getting it to work on Win 7. There are hundreds of different Prolific drivers, selecting one that might work is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack. Prolific chips have also been cloned in China adding another level of potential problems which is why I stick to supplying serial versions of the cable. FTDI USB to serial chips seem to be a better bet but I have yet to test that theory.:)

mmmm
had pump recon and valve block recond...the air springs replaced sept 2011 just before i got the car....still got paper work etc from main dealer etc....
now as to what faults are showing....well I'd say all of them.....valves stuck open/closed car has moved etc etc some hidden values also ??? the whole lot...
every thing was running ok....went off road and hat is set at high profile...then drove back home and it returned to normal road hight all fine as it should be...
came to it the next day....and it went into fault mode.....and its slowly lowered over prob 2 weeks to the bump stops...ohh and i've got a pressure meter fitted to mine near the EAS box, dont know if all RR have these fitted....but its showing 150 psi/10 bar....so i'm guessing theres air in the tank ???

Basically what you are getting is a list of all possible faults. You have a comms problem.

As Wammers said you have a comms problem.

So what do you think guys.....a new obd cable

It is usually the USB/Serial adaptor that gives the problems. My old Dell serial laptop works every time, have never got the USB Acer to work. But having the Dell never tried very hard.
