Hello all again
Right in the cold weather my p38 1999 dse got a fault on eas. So I brought so wear and decompressed it I then read on here about relays and fault the relay had gone the fault cleared straight the way. The prob im left with now it won't go up. The pump is working in software but unsure if it is when in normal mode. There are no faults just can't get car off it ass. I'm worried by docompressing it I need to be doing something to get it bk to hight any help would be a great

Did you leave the car running for 15minutes with a door or the tail open, to allow the pump to refill the tank first, before you selected a ride height??

If not, then the poor little compressor is struggling to fill both the tank and lift the car.

Also do the 'Wammers' compressor check too, to ensure the compressor is providing enough oommpphh to fill the system....

Ubolt the compressor, undo the little blue pipe, place thumb over the compressor outlet with it running - you shouldn't be able to stop the air flow from the compressor, if you can it needs a refurb with a new seal/liner etc, if you can't then try the door open for 15 minutes thing....if that still fails, then you no doubt have a leak somewhere.

Me being a bull at a gate didn't. I shut the door think that was the reason it wasn't lifting unbeknown to me it has a tank. As it normally lifts in seconds. I will try this tonight thank u for the help hopefully jugs will raise for her grave lol

Always a good idea to read the instructions with the software before you use it. Why on earth did you decompress it as you put it?
With engine on and door open you should hear the compressor running. As Saint said, leave the door open for 15 minutes or so with the engine running (don't want the compressor to flatten your battery, shut the door and it should come up. If it doesn't, either there is a hard fault or the compressor is not making pressure or you have a major air leak:eek:

Right there is no faults the car will not raise on its own but pump is working as should can ne one help. I've had the car to highest setting by linking out the relay but it will not raise off the control unit.

Right took pumP off and it wouldn't blow up a blown do gotta be that

Once you've repaired/replaced your pump do a good search for leaks.
Pumps die with age but a leak anywhere will speed it's death.

You might want to put a location in your details. I can't be the only person on here with a spare pump, block and driver sitting in the garage, 'just in case'.
:D

You're not, I have one compressor, two valve blocks and two driver packs in stock all tested OK:D:D

Thanks guys it now goes up when left for pressure to raise but when I came bk to it it didn't wanna go up. So I unlocked it again got it up on highest setting but it didn't go down over night at all. But when started no air again I think it's the seals in the block u can replace them cant u

I think you airbags are leaking, the leaks open and close where the bag folds under, that as said before has knackered your compressor which as you said has no blow, have you fixed that yet? If not then no point in looking at the valve block other than the diaphragm.

Hi,

I am also a newby, and after reading the tips on here I managed to make a cable, download the software and fix the EAS Fault on my P38.

Keep up the good work.
