Thermal switch maybe duff. Look at my EAS post in tech archive for how to test it.

The thermal swich seems to be the culprit due to the whole EAS system working apart from the pump. But for now i've got a little swich jamed under the dash bord that goes to the fuse box so that i can still operate it.
Get thermal switch repaired ASAP. What you have rigged up does not come highly recommended.
Especially by the Firebrigade!!
