Hi Guys
I'm having intermittent problems with my early freelander 1 Di (97) it's low mileage and has been very reliable to date, however recently it's started going into some sort of limp home mode.
Basically you are driving along happily when all power will go. The engine keeps running but putting your foot on the throttle seems to strangle it. So basically the car will trundle along at walking pace. It seems if you turn the engine off and restart after a minute or so it's fine, but not much fun when it happens.
Initially I thought it might be rubbish in the fuel, but now I'm not so sure.
Any thoughts?
Cheers XFS
