Hello,

New member here, although I have been a lurker for a long while.

I'm currently looking for an old 3 door Discovery to renovate, which I hope to keep long term. I would ideally like to source one of the first G-WAC registration ones. Could anyone point me in the right direction of possible ones for sale, or does anyone know of any? I see there is a g-wacdiscoverys.net website so will ask on there, but just thought I would ask here too.

I think you'll be lucky to find a G-WAC now. Even if they do come up think the G-WAC enthusiasts and club are always watching out for the adverts or even get approached directly by the sellers if the seller knows what they've got. I was looking for an early 5 door 200 tdi but ended up with a 95 5 door 300 tdi. Still doesn't stop me browsing the adverts in the hope of locating a decent vehicle needing a bit of TLC.

He's the guy to talk to about gwacs, I was in contact with him recently, he was suggesting that he knew of one needing a good home. He'll also send you out an interesting monthly email about these cars as well.

Many, many thanks for the information everyone. Really appreciated.

Sounds like it will be a case of keeping an eye out on ebay and the like, plus keeping a look out in farmers fields whenever I'm passing on the off chance.

Hopefully I'll report back soon with a "I've just bought this, where do I start" thread.
