Hello everyone. I have 1999 auto dse and today she overheated after dumping all her water out the drivers side behide wheel is there any water hoses behide bumper at bottom of rad as I have checked top as in top hoses and ones that go into car and refuse to get ne wetter as I'm in the rain now help please

It's the overflow from the expansion tank. The overheat caused it to expel the water. Check the viscous fan, water pump, stat and that the RAD heats up evenly all over.

Just been out and checked and the fan is not spinning freely does that mean its shot it.

The fan should spin reasonably freely when engine is cold but not when it is hot. If it does not free off when cold after a few turns with your hand. Engine not running. Then it is duff. But that would give over cooling at start up and slow warm up. Have a look at the water pump and for a duff thermostat first job, they are known to fail. Hope you have not done any more serious damage. Change the fan.

Might be worth having a good sniff in the expansion tank for any fumes. If it keeps repressurising that might be an indication of gasket failure.

I don't know how easy it is on these but I'd be tempted to flush the coolant system and replace the thermostat first. That's cheap!

When towing my caravan up hill the water temp can shoot up but there is no sign of head gasket

Then look at the water pump and thermostat. Or you will soon have more trouble than you can shake a stick at.
