could any one be kind enough to offer some advice on the size socket/ spaners needed for the job? Thanx guys

A lump hammer a few spanners and an allen key .
allen key and ratchet ring spanner
word of advice on changing the drop links, remove both at the same time instead of just leaving one on while changing the other, that way you can make sure your roll bar is centralised and line up the holes on each end of the roll bar with the stud thread on the bottom end of drop link
