Im surprised you can see anything with all the mud and **** in there.

Clean it man :D

Get the pressure washer in there. :)

I dare not clean it ginge!!! If i cleaned it it would show up rust ;)

I think i could do with patching up the holes where the cables come through, it gets a little wet when off roading.

Just a quick update. There is something draining the battery only when the ignition is on with no running engine!! Where should I start looking? I've left the truck days even a couple of weeks and it fires up first time but the other day I had the ignition on for no more than 5 minutes with no running engine (no radio or lights on either) as I was looking for a 12v switch feed as my interior light no longer works and my battery went flat.

Short on one of the door courtesy switches ?

Undo and tape 'em up, one at a time, may have a chafed wire within the bit that goes in the door shut

I don't have switches on mine it's just a switch next to my hazard lights. Could it be my alternator that's draining my battery when the ignition is switched on?

Could the glow plug relay fail in a way that means the timer no longer works, so the glow plugs just stay on? Could check for that by taking the glow plug feed off the first plug and putting it out of the way (where it can't sort out on something!) then leave ignition on for a while.

Think this is a conversion so Robbie may not have a glow relay. If you had a short than drains the battery in 5 mins, I would have thought you would see some smoke or smell burning. Maybe you're earth is poor - that would affect starting.

maybe a new battery ,energising the alt will lose power, but so quick would need a poor battery

Battery is strong. Ask spook mentioned it's a conversion so no relay. There should be no drain on the battery with the ignition on. No heater fans ect ect and yes I would agree there should be some sort of smell of burning. My main fear is if it's an earth it's draining then while it's being charged it would be earthing and burning out but it's not. I'm gonna have to charge the battery when I get home from Spain and disconnect everything until I find it.
