Hi guys,

I just purchased a set of 2nd row doors for £80 (pretty happy with that). They dont have door cards but otherwise are all there minus the trademark rusting at the bottom.

I have got to arrange for them to be shipped to me as its cheaper to buy them in the UK and ship them than buy a used pair here. Does anyone have anyidea on what the weight will be? They dont arrive at my dads place in the UK until the end of the week and I dont want to loose 4 or 5 days worth of shipping time just to weigh them.

So if anyone has any ideas I would be greatful!

Surely they are more than 10kg :s

I just fitted mine yesterday and seemed more like 20-25ish.... They was the front doors though come to think about it

Edit: give land rover a call?

Living in Kenya im reluctant to ring the Uk too much. Thats why you guys are helpful to have around!

I bloody hope they are not 25kg each I pay £4 a kilo to have them shipped.

Maybe email them or contact someone else who sells them, they might know.

Well i was tired at the time but 10kg seems very light for a complete door with everything on it, door cards are pretty weightless

It may pay to look into having them shipped via an employer/ friend who has a business -

as for 'phoning - try e-mail or web messenger thingy, (also have a record of who said what anorl)... :D

Agreed, 10kg really doesn't seem like much at all. Sure they'd be closer to 20kg at maximum

I think they were 10-15 hence putting them in at 30 for two and courier didn't bat an eye

Remember its just an alloy skin on a thin steel frame its the glass that weighs a lot

If ya asked yesterday i would av weighed mine on the bathroom scales but they are fitted now.... Surely someone here has a door removed and scales?
