hi,

I was wondering what type of 'glue' people use to stick their door skins to the frame? Obviously its mainly held by the folded ali however i had to unpeel my old ones so figured a glue should also be used.

So if someone can recommend something it would be great. Does it need to be soft setting or hard setting? I'd have thought soft setting would be best?

Cheers

Tec 7 would be my choice. I do a lot of gluing and use high quality epoxy (SP Systems) or Tec7 on metals depending on whether I want flexibility vs. ultimate strength.

The glue not only locates the two parts but also separates the two different metals preventing bi metal corrosion.

Cheers for the response fellas, do any of you reckon Evo stik Gripfill would work? I've got a box full of the stuff

It 'should' do. Only one way to find out, and you are the Guinea Pig. The product data sheet isn't the best in the world, but it looks OK.

Just to make sure that corrosion isn't triggered by dissimilar metals, coat one surface with a 0.5-1mm layer and let it cure, then bond panel to frame.
