Is it possible to give the rubber door seals a bit of new life and if so how?

My head is bloody freezing after a long drive cos the wind gets in at the top of the door and it also blows up from where the door meets the B post and gives me kidneys influenza!

Sure its the seals and not the doors needing a tweek? try adjusting the slam.... slacken off to finger tight...push door shut, push hard as you can and push button, tighten up.....you can tweek it a bit more till it needs a good slam to close it

No MrJC..the door sits flush, its the seal that gradually gets flatter along the door top until theres a fair gap at the B post. Same vertically down the post...hell of a breeze at bottom of door.

Stick a new seal on it ye tight git!:p;):D

Are you gonna deliver? :p

Will add to list of things to buy/do when i'm over in April, just want a temp fix..drove to work in the snow this evening and it started to bug me...especially as the wind was blowing against that door..brr brr...

could try pushing some small rubber pipe into the seal to hold it in a more sensible shape........or gaffer tape up the doors and climb in and out the window

Good plan...apart from the fact that the window regulator is Fubar :D

Sorry for a slight hijack

This could be the answer for mine, Im going to fit new seals and catches, but doors are a bit flexy/loose at the top.
But are you talking about loosening the door hinges? or something else?

Cheers.

Guna get new seals for mine. I felt a gale, so had a look and found there was no seal, but a bit of foam that was double sided taped on!
