In the space of 2 weeks my D2's drivers door and two passenger doors won't open with the remote they will only lock. What do I need to fix or replace. Thanks.

Hi Mate
am i right in thinking that the door lock knob is not lifting from the remote? if it iss then you'll need to get new or good second hand replacemt locks, these are avaliable on ebay, £30-£70 not sure how much new ones are, to replace these some people say you must remove the window frame from the door but this isnt true as i replaced mine without removing the window frame, you will have to have the window fully up and i did tape my window up.
hope this helps

Yep they won't come up. Thanks for the info, I'll have a look on eBay. Are they easy to replace?

Hi Mate heres a link to what your looking for, each door is different so make sure you get the right one for the door,
they took me about 30 mins to change mine
remove door card and make sure window is up (tape window to window frame)
remove all bolts that hold the door frame in 2 are inside at the bottom of the door 1 each side and the rest are out side the door,
there are 3 or 4 bolts that hold the lock in place, remove all conections to the lock(pin that goes up and town , cable do door handle inside and theres another that goes to the out side handle)
then move the lock up and down and its tight buy it will twist out past the door frame if you lidt the fram a little.
if you want to make it easy take the door fram and window out the car.
hope this helps

How do you do it without removing the window guides??

Not disbelieving just curious

Hi Dartmoor
i removed all the bolds and taped the window upto the top of the door frame i lifted the the frame up a little no more than 3 inches, then you can push the window frame around in the bottom of the door, slide the lock down a little and the lock passes, its tight but it does work. same for refitting its a little tighter as your trying to twist it past at the same time. but i did my Passengers front door like this i guess it will work on the rest?

Thanks for all this help, I'm getting the parts next Tuesday so I'll let you know how I get on.
