Evening all im having a night mare with my drivers door ive had a lock smith round to try and get the door open and he just butchered the lock and left with out solving any thing. So today i took it to a local land rover specialist and the said it must be super locked so he took the back door of and cut the lock he then put a new lock in the door and tried it again and it super locked it straight away but luckily the door was open at the time. but he was closing for the weekend so now my pregnant wife has not got a car for the weekend please please please if anyone has got any advice that i can pass on to the guy to save me some money i will be very much appriciated. Im running out of money very very quickly and the bill will just keep getting bigger i only bought this car two days ago and its seems like the biggest mistake i have ever made with a car. Regards Rikki Oh and my car is a 99 td5 TIA

UN-(super)LOCK IT WITH THE REMOTE...or set the BCU to "always disarm with key" mode...i rest my case cos maybe i misunderstood the issue due to my poor english:eek:

Ok thanks for that ill pass it on sorry to be a complete newbie but how would i set the bcu to that. I think he must of tried that tho. All im thinking is the guy before me took the passanger side door lock off would this cause any issuse if its electrical. Im thinking along the lines of causing a short. and if this cannot be sorted the guy did say some thing about a new bcu is that right?

i doubt that a new BCU will sort this out... settings through tester(nanocom/hawkeye, etc)...but i still dont understand ... is the remote working or not?
