Hi All,

I've had a 2nd hand door ladder in the garage for the last couple of year and I'm going to fit the thing.

Just windered whats the best type of bolt, or rivnut to use?

Any help would be appreciated, I was going to use some self tapping screws but it does not feel the right thing to do.

Self tappers a bit risky if you plan to use the ladder. I would think bolts and reinforcements

Rivnuts are the best, one of the fixings comes very close to the door lock just watch you don't drill through it

Well as it hooks over the top of the door it isn't going to fall, I believe the bolts the hold the door lock/ number plate cowling hold the ladder from going sideways. Info on the fitting can be found on Land Rover's site.
