I think I just searched for assorted interior car fixings or similar.

If you know somebody with a lathe get them to knock a few up out of alloy then bond them to the door card.

@Mr Gorsky: that's a nice door card. Wonder how many are missing off that? To be fair it doesn't rattle. Someone's done something a bit clever drilling a hole and putting a sort of plastic fastener of the right colour right through and into the holes. Holds it absolutely solid at the top but there's only 1 holding it on at the bottom. Just like things to be right.

@Wammers: no longer know anyone with a lathe. Guess I could try making one of a bent-over hazel tree in the Chilterns somewhere. I'm told chair-makers used to do it so it must be possible!
