Easy job - I drilled a hole in the inner panel to allow easy access to the retaining screws.

Is the rear door barrel the same to change ?

Are they the barrels as I've seen different part numbers on some websites for them ?

Cheers

Mine is the same as the front ones but it was a tricky job.

Whilst the mechanism was off I stripped it down and replaced the small return spring (it's in my gallery - fleabay £5).

I just fitted a new rear lock assy to my 90 and it wasnt hard to swap the lock over.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct locks for my 1986 90 ?

It has lift up handles (not push button).

Thanks

It will probably be a lot cheaper if you strip the locks and repair them - the bits are all available on fleabay.

I am looking at doing that and just changing the barrels but I am getting some conflicting advice.

Some online parts shops have said that a certain barrel will fit but others including eBay sellers say they won't. I just want to make sure I get the right part 1st time round and ideally change the front doors too so I only have the 1 key.

I am still getting conflicting advice as to whether the front doors and rear door use the same lock barrel. Also whether the barrels are the same for my handles (lift up) as they are for push button type.

My 90 is a 1986 model.

Thanks for any help in pointing me in the right direction fir the correct barrels.

Might be worth giving Rimmers a call if answers not forthcoming here

Know they sell barrels and are usually helpful

Sorry, but would be guessing myself
