Well garage just phoned it ran ok for 5 minutes after fitting new fuel pipes.
And the pressure dropped again now that say it the fuel pressure valves in the fuel tank.

I'm not completely familiar with the fuel system on the car, but wouldnt the pressure regulator have to be engine side?

In the tank is only a sender, so no pump there. The lowside pump is in the wheel arch with the filter. The first fuel return comes from the HP pump. Does there have to be a regulator in the tank?

Lowside fuel freeflows through the HP pump whist there is ignition 2, no crank. When you crank the fuel no longer freeflows through and is pressurised towards the injectors , with the HP Pump having a pressure control valve to redirect the fuel back through the fuel cooler and into the tank. The only other fuel return is injector spill rail.


Anyone correct me?

low pressure sensor *in the engine bay under the fuse box ( cheers for correction 'V'
high pressure sensor on the fuel rail
fuel pressure regulator on the high pressure injector pump
( those are connected to the ecu )

the fuel pressure regulator can fail ..

Low pressure fuel sensor isnt on the low pressure pump. Its in the engine bay under the fuse box. Its on the fuel pipes.
