hi all, as it says does a v8 disco have an egr valve?, if so where do i find it???

Not as far as I know ~ they don't need one. EGR systems were introduced to reduce particulate emissions from (specifically) diesels.
Of course, if I'm wrong someone will put that right

In diesels they are after the reduction in combustion temperature. Because the formation of NOx is highly temperature dependent, EGR works by recirculating 5-10% of the exhaust gases back to the engine air inlet in order to lower the combustion temperature (several hundred degrees), and lower the emissions.
And if you lower the combustion temperature the fuel will not burn 100% so you will lose power and need to put your foot down to compensate.
