Do your wipers move when you stick your washers on?

Right, so I had a MOT fail on the washer pump not working, and the rear brakes went off (was shorting our due to rubbing on chassis). Anyway, it turned out to be the stalk, as I took it out and all the bits went peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeong all over the place. I ordered a new one.. but like a plum I ordered the wrong one

It originally had a non intermittent one and I've managed to mess about with the pins enough to make it all work, except when I stick the washer on.. it pumps water but the wipers don't move and I can't remember if this was the norm.

Mine is the same, washer doesn't work the wipers just the pump. Not 100%this is right but doesn't really bother me.

Wipers do work separately from the wash even though it's on the same stalk.

My wipers work with my washer jets on my 1985 fender. Maybe someone else done it previous to me owning it though

mine do too, '96 fender, but like wot he said, if it passes MOT...

Mine is push the washer button and the wipers come on, 96 CSW

it changed in 91 when they brought out the 200tdi, that had wash and wipe, prior to that it was wash and no wipe on the button

hope that makes sense
