hi all can anybody confirm if air suspension needs oil in the system to lubricate valves etc

No not under any circumstances should oil be introduced to the EAS system.

I second wammers, DO NOT under any advice, circumstances or perceived need let oil be intentionally or ideally accidentally introduced to the EAS system.

In summary NO, NO, NO, DON'T
