Has anyone had any problems with a disco td5 which will not start intermittently. I think the problem is fuel related, as the pump in the fuel tank seems to run all the time very noisily. The AA recovery man who attended the car recently thought the bearings had gone and that this was what was causing the problem.
I have had the heater plugs, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump changed up till now, at a total cost of 260 quid!! and I am reluctant to spend any more money until I have a good idea of what it might be.
Any info or opinions would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Ey oop chuck.

You're better off posting this question down in the Disco section. Someone in there will be able to help :)

i've heard of this before and i'm still unclear as to why anyone would want thur landy to start intermittantly.

NO NO Slob yer gorrit all wrong !

It dos'nt start intermitantly.

S'different to it startin intermittantly !

but ee said it dint start intermittantly. if it did start intermitantly then you'd have a issue

ah now! you see! no ah mean.. shirley if it dint start intermittably then it would be possible that it dint start at all..
where as if it started intermittantly then atleast it would start some of the time. but to enquire as to how you can make yer injun start intermittantly is just plain silly.
either it dint start intermittantly and is starting all the time in which case you'd be a fool to want it to start intermittantly,
or it dint start intermittantly and it dint start at all in which case you be a fool to want it to start intermittantly instead of all the time.
so to sum up you dint really want it to start intermittanly cos thats not good. if it does start intermittantly then you should seek helpfull advice from a forum or such like . preferably one that doesn't promote intermttant starting
