iv'e just bought my 1st disco a 97 reg 300dti 3dr log book says its a DSL what does it stand for ???

Well as it should say 300tdi, DSL could be LSD ... or anything else.

Which section does 'DSL' come up in? What context?

its typed in book as discovery 3dr dsl tdi r its a 300 dti first registed 10/01/97 cheers kev

It's in service book! .. diesel then I guess ...

and it's 300 tdi NOT 300 dti .. someones made an error. Check what's on the log book.
