Hi, I was driving along the other day and you know that beeping noise which lasts a couple of seconds when you switch the engine off? Well, this came on and the radio switched off and stopped working and also the srs light came on all at the same time!

Mine only beeps when I leave the lights on.
AFAIK, that is the only time it bleeps. Ever.

You sure you haven't got an after market stereo which reminds you (by bleeping) to take the face off every time you take the keys out the ignition?
 
Have you got an electric aerial or the motor from one?? Mine doesn't beep unless, as said, lights are left on.
 
Yeah I have an electric aerial. It may be the noise to warn you that you have left it up which came on whilst driving
 
If the radio stopped then id say it had a slight alternator hiccup and the aerial went down. Dunno what the srs light problem is...is the light still on?
 
Yeah, changed it for one I know works. I'm stumped. I just don't want it going off or anything especially with the kids in the car. I just want to stay away from the dealers as much as I can at the moment
 
I wouldnt worry about the srs light and having the kids in the car, it most likely means a seatbelt sensor etc has given up, local garage could get a fault code from it to let you know for peace of mind, very strange they both happend at once, if its a aftermarket stereo they some times have a fuse on the back of them aswell as in the fuse box?

Ill try that later. Cheers looks like a trip down the garage then!
 
Well I've fixed the radio. Just a dodgy fuse inside the radio itself so cheers for that bencorkill.

No problem, keep us informed about srs light i want mine off to :), obly place i found that could do it wouldnt resolve the problem the sneaky russian just said he would diconnect it lol!
