Hi all a few months back my disco lost all forward drive but still had reverse which i think it must of had a failed clucth A. Any way i have just brought another gearbox without a transfer box my question is if i put the new gearbox in can i install my transfer box after the new one is all bolted in?

Yes you can. However due to the shape of the transfer box, it is a royal pain to do it that way. You almost need to construct a cradle so you can keep everything at the right angle while you lift it in place.

Having just removed one from my spares car I can tell you it will be a pain, the exhaust brackets and other bits under there mean it needs to go up at an angle then be rotated into situ.

If your good at bench pressing a few Kilo's then it will be easier... :lol:
