Just fixed the ACE system by fitting a new pressure sensor and realised just how much racket the pump & system makes, operation previously inhibited by the sensor fault.
Pump is only 18 months old so I don't think it's the culprit.

Anyone elses ACE make a lot of noise? Probably more noticeable on V8's than TD5's

Hope you'll understand my peculiar english:eek:

Urban Panzer is right, I had the same problem and the fluid change helped. I had to change it after I replaced the rear actuator which failed.

Be aware U have to use the green "dedicated" fluid or something very close to it's quality(it's close to 100bar in the system) and it's good to change the small filter from the valve block too.

After any intrusion in ACE is advisable to "bleed" the system via Testbook................that's my own experience:)

Did an oil & filter change a few years ago, quietened it down a little but not a lot.

System bleed mite be an idea though as I have faultmate...will give it a try now the system appears to be working again..
