So just been under the Disco and checked the wiring on the starter as a previous owner had bodged a wire and connector on as the spade terminal had broken. They had twisted a wire on and just taped it up.
So I had crimped a fresh terminal on and now a good fit.
The question I have is other than the main lead to the battery should there just be 1 or 2 wires to the push on terminal. I ask because I have a wire which is white with a brown stripe on it which comes out of the loom at the same place as the brown wire but they have just pulled it up the engine bay and wrapped it around some pipes and left it.
The first pic shows the wires coming out of the loom.

Can you see the oil pressure warning on ignition self test? ... it's only one brown/red trace wire going to the solenoid and white/brown is for oil pressure switch

Will check that. Its only a very thin wire.
Will check tomorrow.

Well bang on with the oil pressure switch. Now sorted.
I would never have found it with it being on the other side of the engine.
