Hello everybody. I have a discovery td5 auto which is shaking in between 50 and 60 mph, it seems that the whole car shakes at this speed. i have had my wheels re balanced and it still shakes any ideas whould be appeciated.thanks Dan

i had this once on a bmw estate, was told it would be the wheel balancing or tracking.
turned out to be one of the alloys was slightly buckled. worth spending a couple of hours putting the spare on each corner to eliminate it ??

It could also be a damaged tyre (they can go sort of pretzel shaped), although the person who balanced it should have spotted that. Otherwise, suspension bushes???

had a look today lower front shock bushes are perished think this could be causing it? have ordered a pair anway, any ideas how to fit them? Dan

you'll find it's your steering damper (if the td5's have them),
